Description

Soya Phosphatidyl Choline 35% is a soy-derived phospholipid product supplied as a dark brown viscous liquid. According to the available documentation, the material is based on oil extracted lecithin and is identified as soybean lecithin liquid. The product specification requires not less than 35% phosphatidyl choline, with the analysed batch showing a result of 36.40%.

The material also contains additional phospholipid components, including lysophosphatidyl choline, phosphatidic acid, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol, as reported in the Certificate of Analysis and in the independent phospholipid profile analysis. Moisture is controlled at not more than 0.5%, while the analysed batch showed 0.42% water content. The analysed batch also showed an acid value of 24.49 mg KOH/g, a peroxide value of 0.10, and a viscosity of 11,200 centipoise at 25°C.

Independent analytical testing further confirmed the composition of the product. ^31P-NMR analysis reported 36.40% phosphatidylcholine and 53.03% total phospholipids, while separate analytical testing reported sucrose at 1.86 g/100 g and fructose below 0.5 g/100 g.
